As 2020 comes to a close, here’s a look at the top EB-5 Daily views by country.
Half of EB-5 Daily’s views, or 50.4% came from visitors in the United States, but the remaining views came from more than 175 different countries. Below is a chart of the top 20 countries by views for 2020:
India dominates, with nearly four times as many views as the next country, Vietnam. Vietnam has long been a top EB-5 investor country alongside Mainland China. Other top countries listed have been known emerging EB-5 markets and include South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Nigeria, and Brazil. The remaining top countries offer an interesting view of what could be potential EB-5 hotspots.
Why are the United States’ EB-5 Daily views (50.4%) so high? A few potential reasons include:
- Some potential EB-5 applicants may already be residing within the U.S. on other types of visas.
- Some potential EB-5 applicants may be traveling in the U.S. for work.
- Family members may be researching visa options for relatives living abroad.
- In addition to potential investors, EB-5 Daily can appeal to EB-5 regional centers, immigration attorneys, project developers, EB-5 brokers-dealers, and other EB-5 professionals located within the U.S.
What is the EB-5 Program?
The EB-5 Program was created by Congress in 1990 as a way to stimulate the U.S. economy through foreign capital investment into qualifying U.S. job-creating businesses. Eligible foreign nationals who meet strict EB-5 capital investment and job creation requirements may be able to obtain lawful permanent residency in the U.S. for themselves and their immediate family members.
